Small Print & Cancellation Policy

You walk/trek with a Llama, YOU DO NOT RIDE THEM !!!

We email detailed Joining Instructions following your booking confirmation.

Unless we agree otherwise, we require full payment when you book your Llama Trek.

Luggage, water bottles, coats, etc: Please bring ONLY what you need for the duration of your Llama Trek. In all cases, you will not be far from human civilization, so PLEASE do not bring your 'kitchen sink'. We do take Llama saddle bags on our Half-day Treks, but NOT on the Taster Treks. Your emailed Joining Instructions explain in more detail. Space is limited in the Llama saddle bags, so you might have to carry everything you bring!

BOOKINGS
If you'd like to experience a Llama Trek, there are a few ways to book:
Online using our instant booking service, give us a call, send us an email, or website message, and we'll happily discuss dates, availability, prices, options, and answer any questions you have.

One person booking: Minimum number to Trek = two adults with two Llama, but try us anyway, because short notice and/or combining with another group is often possible. (The more notice we have, the more likely we’ll be able to offer the llama trek you want on a particular date)

START TIMES - vary depending on the trek you select - see description page.
ALTERNATIVE START TIMES - If you've other bookings and commitments while you're in Kaikoura, we'll do what we can to move our times to fit into your schedule - please contact us directly to discuss

Meeting place:
Taster = meet at the: Kaikoura Farm Park - 12 Kowhai Ford Road.
Half Day Treks = meet at the small clock tower, main car park, West End (opposite Council Offices). See location website page.

Dietary needs = We are unable to provide alternate food, cake and drinks on our Half-day Llama Treks. Please bring your own alternative snacks and drinks.

EXCLUSIVE BOOKINGS
We routinely combine llama trek booking, up to eight people & llamas. If you would like an EXCLUSIVE llama trek, there’s a $50pp surcharge for up to four trekkers! No extra charge for five+ trekkers wanting exclusive!
Please contact us directly if you would like an EXCLUSIVE trek.

Change your Booking = We will change your booking, where we can, without charge, subject to availability and our fair-use policy. If you change to more expensive date(s), more guests, etc. you will be asked to pay the difference. If a cheaper option, you pay the lower price.

CANCELLATION POLICY
If we cancel for any reason, at any time = 100% refund.
If you cancel:
- 4+ days prior to check-in = FULL REFUND.
- Within 3 days of check-in = you lose a $20 admin fee.
- Within 24 hours of check-in = you lose 50% of your full payment.
- No-show = the full amount will be charged or retained.
